Get Paid to Train for a Better Job

Better Jobs Ontario is a government program that helps you learn new skills for a better career, without the financial stress.

If you qualify, you can receive funding to cover:

  • Tuition, books, and school costs
  • Childcare, transportation and supplies
  • A weekly living allowance while you train

You could receive up to $28,000–$35,000 depending on your program.

Unemployed or Stuck in the Wrong Job?

This program is designed for people who need a change but feel stuck.

You may qualify if you:

  • Were laid off and are currently unemployed
  • Are working a “just for now” job to pay the bills
  • Have been unemployed long-term and need a fresh start

Even if you’re receiving EI, Ontario Works, or ODSP, you can still apply.
