At the Employment + Education Centre (EEC), we offer a range of programs to broaden your job opportunities. Consult our experienced employment coaches about free skills training, mentorship programs and workshops that will help improve your employability. Hundreds of individuals in Leeds and Grenville have taken advantage of our short-term training courses and apprenticeship programs to build a successful career.

The Employment + Education Centre (EEC) is a non-profit agency that is focused on helping individuals like you achieve their full potential. Check out our skills upgrading programs to determine which one is the best fit.

  • Computers for Job Success Program: These free 2 and 3-day computer courses can help improve your chances of finding a job. All CFJS program graduates will receive a Microsoft Certificate. The program includes:
    - Computer Fundamentals
    - Internet and the World Wide Web
    - Microsoft Word 2013
    - Microsoft PowerPoint 2013
    - Microsoft Excel 2013
    - Microsoft Outlook 2013
    - Microsoft Publisher 2013
    Interested in signing up for our Computers for Job Success program? The first step is to attend an information session where we will provide you with details about the course as well as how to enroll. Please see the workshop schedule and register for the next available CFJS information session as soon as possible. Spots fill up quickly.
  • Second Career Program: This Ontario government program offers individuals who are unemployed or underemployed, financial assistance to train for a second career. Eligible candidates can access up to $28,000 to pay for a course of up to two years at a community college, accredited post-secondary institution or career college. For further details on this program, visit the MAESD site or connect with an employment coach at our centre.
